As for me, I am going to start incorporating more raw food into my diet. And 30% raw seems doable right now. Who knows where I would be in a year or so. Maybe it’ll stay the same or I might go 50% or 70% or 90%? (I hope.) I just know the thought of giving up charcoal barbecue chicken and my vegetable stew is not an option right at this moment. I can’t trade it in just yet. But perhaps one day, what I am going to reap from a raw diet will convince me to change my way.

Changes are uncomfortable. I mean—all our life we live a certain way and to expect yourself to suddenly jump onto a new bandwagon isn’t easy. New habits take time to build and adjust into. Sometimes we fall off, sometimes we need support to put us right back on the ride. Sometimes we just got to experience the pain and agony to really convince us that feeling better, lighter, healthier, and more energetic is way better than a burger or a pizza. Instant gratification. In my case, vegetable stew and BBQ chicken. Yum!

Honestly, I don’t know. Where this adventure will take me but I am hoping for the best! There’s enough social proof to say there’s something miraculous about this raw diet, and I just can’t let my doubts stop me. I have to go on the ride and test it for myself.

Extraordinary results gain simply by changing our lifestyle to a healthier alternative that takes care and appreciates our given vessel on this earth –our body. The more we take care of our body and nourish it, the better we feel, the more energy we have, the better our life!

We probably take better care of our car than we do of our physical body. For instance, we always check if we are putting lead or unleaded fuel into our vehicle. But do we stop to think –am I putting junk or fuel efficient nourishment for my own engine! See, we all do that at one time or another. It’s easy to be tempted and seduced by the scent of freshly fried or cooked food and them fresh off the grill steaks.

It’s very addictive. I get it. In fact, I am still eating it. I’m not saying go 100% RAW now. Just simply start incorporating more raw food into your diet and check how you feel. Then begin to slowly eliminate the food that has little nutritional value or that actually does more harm than good for our body like sugar, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, soda, junk food, fast food, processed food, packaged food, and eventually diary, meat, and cooked food. Go at your own pace, and continue educating yourself about your body and nutrition. The more we know, the better we can take care of our body, mind, and spirit.

Test drive it yourself. Maybe this raw thing will work for you? If not, then fine. Not all paths are right for every individual. Find your own road and see what feels right to you.
