Healthy Eating

Ever have a goal you’ve been itching to accomplish?

If you’re anything like me, you probably have a pile of things you want done.

So what’s stopping you?

Time, money, too many distractions…

If you take an honest look you’ll realize almost anything can distract you. And that PERFECT condition you’re waiting for will probably never come.

It’s frustrating. So when is the RIGHT time?

Listen, I was at a point in my life when I had enough. I needed to get my eating and health on track.

I’m eating good (lots of veggies and fruits). But I still felt like CRAP! I still felt tired, exhausted, and cranky after 8 hours of sleep. (That ain’t right.) It didn’t make sense at all.

I WANTED MORE ENERGY! I wanted to feel good! No more lolly gagging around. I’d find the time and money to do it.

That’s when I came across Rose’s program “10 Week Transformation“. A solid program to take me from A to Z. Where I am to where I wanted to be. Step by step. Her program maps out the unique process (specific to you) to straighten out your eating, health, and any imbalances in my body (most of which I didn’t know). The result – you get in the best health condition possible from her body of research.

The funny thing is if I got this done (say in 2008) when I originally hoped… I would be a person with lots of energy and a clear focus alert mind with the characteristics I desired then… And I would have finish twice as much writing and creating as I wanted, if not more. But those four years of wrestling with the idea not only did I lost the time but the energy I could have had.

There’s so much in our life that we want to get done. But distraction always seems to steer us away. So much so that what we truely want gets swept under the rug.

So what can you do?

Well, for one don’t set so many unrealistic goals. Just set ONE and ONLY one that you know you can commit to. One thing at a time. Let’s keep it SIMPLE!

It’s quite surprising when you do this. Because now instead of 10 carrots dangling in front of the horse (causing major confusion and distraction for the horse) there’s only one direction and one carrot for the horse to direct its focus, energy, efforts towards.

I find that this has made all the difference for me. It makes all the difference when planning to accomplish something for the day or for the year. For example, this year – 2012 – I’m getting my health on track! That’s my ONE goal. That’s what I’m committed to. How about you?

When we think of food allergy, we think of something serious…like someone eating shellfish or peanuts and their throat gets completely clogged and they can’t breath. And they have to be rush to the emergency room…and maybe even be hospitalized.

What if I told you that there are a lot of us walking around who also have food allergies…but our allergic symptoms to those foods are not as severe. It shows up as mild little things that we think are totally normal. But our food intolerance is actually causing us to feel bloated, tired, moody, irritable, and carry those excess stubborn weight.

That’s a lot of stress on your body.

So far from my own personal experiences, I find that my body is very sensitive to a lot of things. Ranging from strong scent, caffeine, alcohol, sodas, dairy, wheat, sugars to certain foods. So the last few years, I spent some time going through Andrea Albright‘s books and audios. I was so angry and at the same time so darn relieve to find out that I had food intolerance.

I learned so much about how my body works. How certain foods react in my body. And how if I eat these “trigger food”…my stomach gets bloated, my face gets puffy, and my body feels like I was partying and drinking liquor the last night. But the surprising thing is…I didn’t even go out or have any alcohol. All I did was ate pasta and bread with a little bit of hot sauce.

It’s crazy right?

To think, your body can react like this to FOOD.

And get this…a majority of the population is allergic to wheat, diary, and sugar… And not even know about it. They just interpret the subtle food allergy reaction of feeling tired, fatigue, bloated, foggy mind, irritability, headaches, depression, and digestion issue as normal and part of getting older.

And you know what’s even more crazy…

If you have food sensitivity, your allergic food reaction can show up completely different compare to someone who is also sensitive to that very same food…And the symptoms may not even show up until a day after. Which is why it’s so challenging to diagnose what food you may have an intolerance to. Best thing to do is to completely eliminate the food you suspect is giving you those allergic reactions for a week or two. And see how you feel…then add it back to see if you do have adverse affect to them by paying very close attention to how you feel in your body and mood. And if you are not sure which food you are sensitive to, you can start with eliminating wheat and dairy since that seems to be the most common food allergies among the majority.

And if you want more help, I highly suggest Rose Cole’s “10 Week Transformation Program“. She has such an amazing program to completely help you find out what food you are sensitive to and get your body functioning at its optimal.

Many of you know I’ve recently started Rose Cole’s “10 Week Transformation Program“. I’ll be blogging about my experiences on this adventurous health ride for the New Year.

It’s been a few weeks since I started. And I am so blown away by how much I thought I knew but didn’t really fully practice. One of the most shocking truths I discovered…was that I had low stomach acid and my blood sugar is imbalanced…it’s one of the reasons why I feel tired and sleepy after meals. A “food coma” they like to call it. Ha ha ha ….

And that’s causing my low energy and digestive issues (even when I am eating so darn healthy).

And you know what’s even more shocking to me…is that Andrea Albright said to chew my food at least 25 times before I swallow it. And I thought I was doing it. But a reality check hit when I heard Rose say it again. Chewing your food is one of the most beneficial ways you can aid your body to better digest food… and also you increase your energy.

If you don’t chew it well enough you have to pull more energy from your body to break it down. In other words, digesting food ends up taking energy from you instead of adding it. You deplete more energy because your body needs additional resources to break the food down so you end up having less energy. So chewing more is one of the things you can do to maximize your energy and help your body out. You want to use as little of your body’s energy to process the food that you just ate.

Makes sense right…?

Apart from that, Rose had some amazing answers and cutting edge techniques to improve your digestion issues, balance your blood sugar, increase your energy, and (of course) help you lose weight. She teaches you how to eat, what to eat, and when to eat. And those tips alone have got my stomach feeling so much better. And my energy is improving. So I am looking forward to learning more…

Until next time. Take care and be well.

With love and appreciation,
